Terms of Service
Effective date: 28 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Klassify mobile app and website (together, "Klassify"), operated by Swayam Patil ("the Developer", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Klassify you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Klassify.
1. What Klassify is
Klassify is a tool that helps schools and colleges record and review student attendance. Klassify is provided to institutions, teachers and students; the institution is responsible for how it uses attendance records.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
- You must give accurate information and use Klassify only for the role assigned to you (teacher, student or administrator).
- If you use Klassify on behalf of an institution, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- mark attendance for someone else, or falsify location or attendance data, including by using fake-GPS or similar tools;
- access data of classes or institutions you are not authorised to access;
- interfere with, reverse engineer or attempt to break the security of Klassify or its servers;
- use Klassify for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms others or the service.
We may suspend or remove access for misuse, and institutions may correct or remove attendance records made in error or in breach of these Terms.
4. Attendance data and accuracy
Attendance marks, percentages and overviews are calculated from the data entered into Klassify. GPS accuracy varies by device and surroundings, and attendance results may occasionally be affected by connectivity or device issues. Institutions and teachers should review records and correct mistakes where needed. Klassify is a record-keeping aid and not a legal, academic or disciplinary decision-maker.
5. Your data and our use of Google services
How we collect and use information, including Google user data, is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Institutions retain ownership of their attendance records and the spreadsheets created for them.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep Klassify available and reliable, but it is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service. We may add, change or remove features, and may introduce paid plans or advertising in future; if paid plans are introduced, we will describe them before you are charged.
7. Intellectual property
Klassify, its design, name and software belong to the Developer. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. Attendance data you or your institution enter remains yours.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klassify is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill arising from your use of Klassify. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using Klassify at any time and may ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or if we discontinue the service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Klassify after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
